about

this blog:

I created this blog primarily for my friends and family, but also as a reference for prospective Peace Corps volunteers and other interested readers.

One of the three goals of the Peace Corps’ mission is to help “promote a better understanding of other peoples on the part of all Americans,” and it is my hope that this blog can fulfill this goal in some ways.

Please use this as a way to keep in touch, ask questions, and share in my experience. Leave comments so that I know you’re reading. Of course, you can also reach me by e-mail or snail mail.

This website expresses my thoughts and opinions, not the views of the Peace Corps, the US government, the Republic of Uganda, the Republic of Guinea, or any other institution, individual, or organization mentioned in or linked to these pages.

I grew up in New Jersey with three siblings and four ducks. After graduating from Kent Place School, I went on to Brown University, where I spent my days singing, making paper airplanes out of tableslips, and getting a my A.B. in Development Studies. I am a Peace Corps volunteer in Uganda. This is what I do.
